Oklahoma has long been synonymous with Bingo. That’s due to the fact that the Native tribes of Oklahoma have provided Bingo games for many years. Guests from all of the nearby states pile in cars and head over to Oklahoma to play Bingo for the weekends.
The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act followed a landmark decision by The U.S. Supreme Court the year before. Since that instance, twenty three of the 39 American Indian bands of Oklahoma have opened bingo halls. The Chickasaw were the first Oklahoma Native tribes to take advantage of the betting rules, and at this time control 10 gambling halls of their very own. Bingo was the game on which these gambling halls were built on. computerized games like slot machine games weren’t permitted, since they’re thought to contribute to gambling addiction at a higher rate than bingo.
In the past few years, Oklahoma rules have altered to allow for large Amerindian betting gambling dens.
